Lambda256, Dunamu's blockchain technology subsidiary, said on Thursday it has obtained the SOC 2 global security certification for its service Nodit.

SOC 2 is an international standard based on criteria set by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). It evaluates how securely a company stores, processes and transmits data across five areas: security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy protection.

Lambda256 has supported a range of customers' live services centered on Nodit, an enterprise-grade node infrastructure and Web3 data services platform. It has provided blockchain infrastructure and data services to customers that handle large-scale on-chain transactions, including digital asset exchanges, financial firms and game companies at home and abroad. It said the certification makes it the only blockchain company in South Korea to hold SOC 2 Type II certification.

Jo Won-ho (조원호), head of business division at Lambda256, said stable operations, security and internal controls have become essential capabilities for blockchain technology companies as the industry enters the institutional framework and works with financial companies and institutions. He said the SOC II certification shows Lambda256's capabilities to meet those requirements have been verified. He added the company will position itself as an infrastructure partner so domestic financial firms can adopt blockchain technology with confidence. He added it plans to contribute to the spread of institutional digital asset services by operating blockchain nodes, analyzing on-chain data and building digital asset infrastructure that takes regulatory responses into account.
