BNK Financial Holding’s market capitalisation hit a record high.
The Korea Exchange said its shares closed at 16,710 won on Thursday, lifting its market value to 5.19 trillion won.
On a closing basis, it exceeded the 5.10 trillion won recorded on Dec. 22 last year by more than 80 billion won, setting a new record high.
The share rally reflected active investment by foreign investors, who were net buyers for nine straight sessions from Jan. 19.
Foreign investors also bought about 366,000 shares on Thursday, raising their ownership stake to 41.39 percent from as low as 38.59 percent in the second half of last year.
