NFT marketplace Nifty Gateway announced it would end its service, and social NFT platform Rodeo has also decided to close, Cointelegraph reported on Tuesday.
Rodeo is a social media-based NFT platform launched via Apple’s iOS store in March 2025. It has focused on creator rewards rather than simple trading. Kavon Tehranian (케이본 테헤라니언), Rodeo’s CEO and co-founder, explained the closure by saying the platform did not secure sufficient scalability and was unlikely to be sustainable.
Rodeo plans to support users in moving assets and data to other platforms. Media and metadata can be migrated to blockchain data storage platform Arweave, and it will also provide a migration tool to help transfer assets. Rodeo will operate normally from Jan. 27 to Feb. 10, then switch to read-only mode. It will fully shut down on March 10.
