LG Energy Solution discussed a win-win strategy with partner companies. The company said on Jan. 27 it held its 2026 Partners Day, inviting about 80 partners from South Korea and abroad. The event, held on Jan. 26 in Seoul's Yeouido, was attended by partners involved in battery materials, components and equipment. Key executives attended, including CEO Kim Dong-myung (김동명), Kang Chang-beom (강창범), Kim Je-young (김제영), Jeong Jae-han (정재한) and Lee Kang-yeol (이강열).
In welcoming remarks, Kim said, "The ESS business recorded sharp sales growth and signed multiple large-scale project contracts," adding, "It was thanks to partners' active support and cooperation." He said, "This year, we plan to focus on turning our efforts into tangible results through portfolio rebalancing and operational efficiency."
Kim said, "To seize opportunities in the fast-growing ESS market, we will strengthen product diversity and supply stability." He added, "In the electric vehicle sector, we will manage profitability and risk steadily and build solid mid- to long-term product competitiveness." He said, "The word crisis is derived from Greek and means a turning point," adding, "Let us join forces with firm trust and cooperation to turn this industry adjustment we are experiencing into an opportunity for greater growth."
LG Energy Solution said management leaders in each division presented directly. They shared global policy and key regulatory changes, global market outlook and business strategy direction, an R&D roadmap, a quality management strategy and a purchasing operations strategy. They presented specific execution measures to create differentiated value in a rapidly changing market environment.
LG Energy Solution said it assessed that the global battery market has entered a phase in which value is being reorganised beyond electric vehicles into various industries such as ESS. It stressed that to respond pre-emptively to this trend, it must focus its capabilities on innovating the customer experience based on overwhelming quality and technological capabilities.
It stressed that to respond to increasingly diverse global supply chain requirements, the entire process from materials to final finished products should be recognised as a single ecosystem. It repeatedly stressed that it is essential to work closely with partners to build a rapid response system for regulatory compliance.
LG Energy Solution said it plans to secure world-class supply chain competitiveness together with partners by pursuing the establishment of a global R&D system, strengthening cost competitiveness and advancing quality management processes.
LG Energy Solution said it selected partners that contributed last year to building a stable supply chain, strengthening business competitiveness and producing results in win-win cooperation, and presented them with Supplier Awards. The company said it will foster an industrial ecosystem in which partners can grow together through fair-trade compliance activities and various win-win cooperation programmes.
