Tether has made a strategic equity investment in sleep tech company Eight Sleep, The Block reported on Tuesday.
Eight Sleep develops an AI-based sleep system. It uses embedded sensors to track biometric signals and has technology that adjusts temperature in real time.
Eight Sleep plans to use Tether QVAC (QuantumVerse Automatic Computer) decentralised AI to build health intelligence that runs on devices.
Tether is accelerating expansion into healthcare and wellness. In April last year, it acquired $200 million worth of shares in biotech company Blackrock Neurotech, supporting development of brain-computer interface technology for patients with neurological disorders.
