IT solutions company ETEVERS said on Monday it has signed a domestic distribution agreement with global identity security company Okta.
The companies will cooperate to supply Okta identity security solutions to a range of industries including enterprise, public, education and finance. They also agreed to actively respond to new security threats stemming from the spread of autonomous AI agents and to expand an identity verification-based Zero Trust security model in the South Korean market.
They plan to pursue, in stages, joint sales and marketing to respond to agentic AI and Zero Trust security, industry-specific identity security proposals, and technical training and partner support programmes. The aim is to strengthen their position in South Korea's identity management and security market.
Kyu-eon Hwang (황규언), head of Okta Korea, said identity is the starting point of security strategy in the era of agentic AI, beyond cloud and hybrid IT. He said the cooperation with ETEVERS will effectively deliver Okta's global technological competitiveness to the local market and help companies achieve safe and flexible digital innovation even in environments where AI agents and human users coexist.
In-sung Jung (정인성), chief executive of ETEVERS, said the core of Zero Trust security is ultimately building a system that thoroughly manages and protects the identities of both humans and AI agents. He said the partnership with Okta, which he called a leader in the global identity security market, will further strengthen ETEVERS' Zero Trust security portfolio in the next-generation AI security area. He stressed that, based on experience and technical capabilities in enterprise and public markets, the company will provide Okta solutions optimised for domestic customer environments and actively support customers' successful digital transformation.
