[DigitalToday reporter Sangyeop Oh (오상엽)] The Kosdaq index rises above 1,000 points for the first time in four years since Jan. 6, 2022 (1,003.01).
The Korea Exchange said on Jan. 26 that the Kosdaq index opens at 1,003.90, up 9.97 points, or 1.00 percent, from the previous session. The last time the Kosdaq index closed above 1,000 points was Jan. 5, 2022 (1,009.62).
Interest in the Kosdaq market also rises after the KOSPI opens the 5,000 era for the first time on Jan. 22.
In particular, reports that the KOSPI 5,000 special committee presents “Kosdaq 3,000” as its next goal are seen as underpinning Kosdaq strength.
Moves by the government to tighten delisting standards, speed the removal of weak listed companies and supply venture capital through the National Growth Fund are also contributing to the Kosdaq’s rise.
