Mantle Network has adopted Ethereum blobs as its main data availability (DA) layer and will transition to an Ethereum ZK rollup architecture, it said on Thursday.
Mantle said the transition is a key step that strengthens its strategy of building a high-performance distribution layer linking traditional finance (TradFi), real-world assets (RWA) and on-chain liquidity. It also said the move increases alignment with Ethereum’s long-term scaling roadmap.
The decision gathered pace after Ethereum’s Fusaka upgrade. Mantle said Fusaka was a turning point that can, in theory, expand blob processing capacity by up to 8 times. It said it aims to evolve into a structure that maintains the fast processing speeds and low fees it has highlighted as strengths while offering security comparable to the Ethereum mainnet.
It stressed that by adopting blobs as its main DA layer, it is focusing on building an architecture that simultaneously meets performance, cost efficiency and security.
