Remote solutions company RSUPPORT said on Jan. 23 it signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with AI sign-language solutions company KLCube at RSUPPORT's Seoul Godeok office to upgrade AI-based remote video consulting services.

The two companies plan to use the agreement to jointly identify new service models in the finance and public sectors that combine remote consulting with sign-language-based guidance services, and to cooperate to strengthen digital inclusion and accessibility.

To that end, they will jointly develop products by linking KLCube's AI sign-language avatar and automatic sign-language translation functions to RSUPPORT's video-call-based remote consulting and sales solution, RemoteVS. Their strategy is to expand the scope of remote consulting services beyond the existing financial sector to include public institutions and medical institutions.

The companies said they expect the effort to strengthen communication efficiency between counsellors and digitally marginalised customers, including people with hearing impairments, across various service areas, improving service satisfaction while contributing to enhancing the competitiveness of the service industry.

Sang-jun Han (한상준), vice president and head of domestic sales at RSUPPORT, said, "With remote consulting already established as core infrastructure across all social and economic services, including finance and the public sector, it is time for it to evolve so anyone can use it without discrimination." He said, "Through this cooperation, we will do our utmost to strengthen service accessibility for digitally marginalised groups, including people with hearing impairments, and expand the scope of remote video consulting services used mainly in the financial sector to the public and medical services and society as a whole."
