LG Electronics has released a home audio system that delivers spatial sound optimised for a room regardless of where speakers are placed. LG Electronics said on Wednesday it launched the LG Sound Suite in South Korea.
The LG Sound Suite is the first in South Korea to support Dolby Laboratories' Dolby Atmos FlexConnect feature. Dolby Atmos FlexConnect detects speaker positions even when they are placed freely and creates spatial sound optimised for the room. Until now, conventional home audio systems required a set number of speakers to be placed in designated locations. When connected to 2025 and 2026 LG premium TVs, the TV speakers and the sound system each output sound tailored to their positions to provide spatial audio.
The soundbar includes a Sound Follow feature that identifies the listener's position and adjusts volume and balance. It uses ultra-wideband wireless transmission technology. With one touch in the LG ThinQ app, the speaker system identifies the position of a listener carrying a mobile phone and sets it as the optimal spot to experience spatial sound.
The LG Sound Suite offers 50 configurations by combining a soundbar (H7), surround speakers (M5 and M7) and a subwoofer (W7). Users can create 28 combinations centred on the soundbar, and 22 combinations centred on an LG TV without the soundbar. Installing a soundbar, four M7 surround speakers and one subwoofer allows a maximum 13.1.7-channel configuration.
The soundbar uses the same third-generation alpha11 AI processor as LG's 2026 OLED TV. The AI processor implements the AI Sound Pro Plus feature using an NPU-based deep-learning model. AI distinguishes sound effects, music and voices and tunes them into customised sound. It sharpens each object such as an actor's voice and adjusts sound effects by detecting the content type.
The AI upmix feature expands low-channel audio into multi-channel sound to use all speakers. All products include premium sound drivers from Danish audio brand Peerless. The full lineup also includes a Room Calibration Pro feature that produces sound optimised to the shape of the space. It analyses characteristics such as the shape of the installed space and adjusts audio.
Users can also listen to music through WiFi and Bluetooth connections when not watching video on a TV. It supports Solo mode and Stereo mode and provides Bluetooth solo streaming.
The suggested retail prices are 1,299,000 won for the soundbar, 799,000 won for the subwoofer, 549,000 won for the M7 surround speaker and 449,000 won for the M5 surround speaker. It offers additional discounts when purchased as a set.
Lee Jung-seok (이정석), executive director in charge of LG Electronics' audio business, said, "Through LG Sound Suite, which makes it easy for customers to create their own sound to match their lifestyle, we will strengthen the position of the premium brand in the global audio market."
