[DigitalToday reporter Hwang Chi-gyu (황치규)] Multimodal data platform company Miso Information Technology said on Tuesday its next-generation intelligent manufacturing platform for the manufacturing industry, DAXI, earned Level 3 in the Smart Factory Supplier Capability Assessment overseen by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and run by the Smart Manufacturing Innovation Promotion Group. It also received an AAA top grade in a technology business viability evaluation, it said.
The Smart Factory Supplier Capability Assessment is a system that comprehensively evaluates suppliers' technological capabilities, implementation capacity, levels of expert staffing, business management systems and ability to carry out advanced projects.
Miso Information Technology said the evaluation recognized its competitiveness in areas including integrating, refining and standardising industrial site data; AI-based quality prediction and process optimisation analysis technology; a generative AI-based decision-support system; the ability to execute and manage large-scale projects; and data platform architecture tailored to industrial domains.
DAXI is a multimodal data platform that integrates and analyses manufacturing site equipment, process, quality and logistics data. It also supports generating generative AI-based insights and work automation. It supports smart factory advancement through links with existing manufacturing execution systems, enterprise resource planning systems and equipment systems.
Miso Information Technology said it connects DAXI with its AI orchestration platform, ACTIC, to provide an integrated end-to-end offering covering data collection, analysis, AI model creation, agent automation and operations management.
The company said that once DAXI secures refined, high-quality data from industrial sites, ACTIC can implement and operate generative AI and agentic AI services based on it. It said this allows manufacturers to build an AI-based decision-making system without complex development processes.
Miso Information Technology said it plans to expand its smart factory advancement model beyond domestic industrial complexes and move in earnest to target manufacturers overseas, including in Asia, Japan and Europe, based on the certification. Nam Sang-do (남상도), the company's chief executive, said the Level 3 rating in the official capability assessment by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Smart Manufacturing Innovation Promotion Group means its manufacturing AI technology has been verified at the national level. He said it would lead K-smart manufacturing transformation beyond South Korea into markets in Asia, Europe and North America through its AI platform for manufacturing.
