Mirae Asset Securities said on Tuesday that client balances in its customized wrap account (branch-managed wrap), a one-on-one tailored wealth management service, exceeded 6 trillion won.

The brokerage said the balance grew in 4 months after topping 5 trillion won in September. It said 57 percent of the 1 trillion won increase came from investment gains, while 43 percent came from new subscriptions. It said investment gains were higher than new subscriptions by composition, indicating a relatively larger contribution from performance.

It said the result came as it adjusted the weighting of bond assets to respond to changes in the interest rate environment and increased the share of domestic stocks to reflect trends in South Korea's stock market. It said it reshaped portfolios around Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix.

Park Geon-yeop (박건엽), head of the Client Asset Management Division at Mirae Asset Securities, said, "We will continue to lead the customized wealth management market with advanced risk management and differentiated strategies."
