Naver is appointing 3 new C-level leaders to integrate Team Naver capabilities and strengthen synergy across divisions.

On Jan. 20, Naver said it had nominated Kim Kwang-hyun (김광현), head of the search platform division, as chief data and content officer. Yoo Bong-seok (유봉석), head of the policy/RM division, will serve as chief responsible management officer, and Hwang Soon-bae (황순배), head of the HR division, is appointed chief human resources officer.

The reshuffle follows the appointments of Chief Operating Officer Kim Beom-jun (김범준) and Chief Financial Officer Kim Hee-cheol (김희철). The new leaders are expected to be formally appointed on Feb. 1.

As the new CDO, Kim will be responsible for organically combining user data and content accumulated across Naver. He plans to push for the integration and advancement of the search and data technology platform and strengthen service competitiveness by implementing differentiated AI agent experiences across the Naver app and major services.

As the new CRO, Yoo will oversee company-wide policy and the risk management system amid a rapidly changing external environment. He will lead related policy operations and the building of a stable service environment so Naver can grow into a platform that fulfills its social responsibilities based on trust from stakeholders and users.

As the new CHRO, Hwang will move to build an integrated HR system. He will oversee HR strategy and the organizational operating system amid changes in the technology environment and ways of working and is expected to lead efforts to strengthen organizational competitiveness for the AI era.

Naver said the C-level leadership reshuffle will strengthen its responsible management system. It plans to advance AI competitiveness centered on 'AgentN' by combining capabilities across business areas including shopping, finance, cloud and AI. It also aims to accelerate efforts to identify new global business opportunities and expand strategic partnerships.

A Naver official said detailed organizational changes under the new leadership system would also proceed sequentially.
