Metabora Games said on Sunday it has officially launched Web3 game "Magic Squad", developed by Neostella Games, on LINE NEXT's dapp portal.

"Magic Squad" is a hybrid Web3 game that combines role-playing game (RPG) progression elements with a roguelike format. Neostella Games led development, and the title onboarded to LINE NEXT's mini dapp ecosystem through collaboration with Metabora Games.

Users can play "Magic Squad" on LINE NEXT's dapp portal without installing a separate app and can also purchase in-app items using BORA tokens.

Metabora Games linked the quest function of "BORA Deeps" with the launch of "Magic Squad". BORA Deeps is an infrastructure service that combines in-game missions and a BORA-based Web3 rewards structure to strengthen interaction between game users and the BORA project. It first launched the quest function in October and onboarded "Puzzle & Guardians".

"Magic Squad" also applies a payment module that lets users buy in-game items with BORA tokens. It also introduced a "gas abstraction" feature through Kaia Wallet that allows users to pay gas fees in BORA tokens even without Kaia tokens, and it is expected to expand to provide the same experience on other wallets in the future.

Metabora Games is continuing to expand external partnerships to secure H5-based Web3 game titles. It plans to steadily introduce new services that expand the Web3 gaming experience and strengthen the BORA ecosystem base, including linking the quest function to new games and supporting BORA token-based in-game payments.
