Post Office Shopping is selling regional specialty products nationwide at discounts of up to 40 percent for the Lunar New Year holiday.

The Ministry of Science and ICT’s Postal Service said on Jan 18 it will run the “2026 Post Office Shopping Lunar New Year Gift Fair” on Post Office Shopping from Jan 19 to Feb 18.

The event sells a popular Lunar New Year gift, abalone (1.4 kg), at 50,900 won, a 40 percent discount. A hairtail and tilefish set will be sold at 125,400 won, a 37 percent discount. Seasonal hallabong (5 kg) will be available at 35,000 won, a 36 percent discount, and Korean beef (soup and bulgogi cuts, 2.4 kg) can be purchased at 121,000 won, a 30 percent discount.

All customers can receive a daily coupon called “today’s fortune” offering discounts of up to 20 percent. Customers who take part in the fortune coupon at least 5 times a week will receive a bonus coupon. It also prepared various discount benefits, including a weekend cart coupon exclusively for Post Office Shopping KakaoTalk Plus Friends and a set of 3 coupons exclusively for Lunar New Year special gift collection items.

Post Office Shopping launched the “Lunar New Year preparations full of flavor” promotion and the “Seol Special Week” promotion so customers can handle holiday table settings and gift decisions in one place. It will also run a “surprising price discounts” promotion that brings together 1-plus-1 items and items discounted by at least 30 percent to reduce the burden on customers’ shopping carts.

It will also run an event called “Good fortune for the Year of the Horse,” described as a “byeongo-nyeon” good-fortune event. It will draw participating customers to give prizes such as an AirDresser, a dehumidifier and a smart watch. Post Office Shopping will also provide various benefits to first-time buyers depending on the number of purchases, including product discounts, cart discounts and prize draws for online gift certificates. Customers can use Digital Onnuri gift certificates when buying products from traditional market vendors listed on Post Office Shopping.
