Lionheart Studio has obtained a foreign game publishing licence required to offer its massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) "Odin: Valhalla Rising" in China.
Lionheart Studio confirmed the Chinese service name as "Odin: Shinban" and said on Oct. 30 that Zlongame will handle local service.
Zlongame is a Beijing-headquartered game company that operates titles including "Langrisser", "Laplace M", "Archeland" and "Tiandijie: Meteor Rebirth".
"Odin: Valhalla Rising" is an open-world MMORPG based on Norse mythology. Lionheart Studio built key content around a seamless world and large-scale battles.
The game has expanded its service regions since its domestic launch in 2021, moving to Taiwan in 2022, Japan in 2023 and global markets in 2025.
At the 2021 Korea Game Awards, it won four prizes, including the top grand prize, the Presidential Award.
Lionheart Studio plans to work on localisation with Zlongame ahead of its China launch.
A company official said, "Odin: Valhalla Rising has obtained a foreign game publishing licence," adding, "We will work with Zlongame to prepare the service in China."
The China service schedule and details will be disclosed later.
