LG Uplus said on Sunday that a total of 46,000 people applied for its Hwadam Forest invitation event for 5,000 long-term customers, a competition rate of 9.2 to 1.

The event was designed to offer long-term customers a special autumn outing. LG Uplus prepared various programmes to help customers make memories at Hwadam Forest, an autumn foliage spot and a flagship natural asset of LG.

It will run stamp zones at five major attractions in Hwadam Forest. Customers can collect stamps while touring, and those who gather all stamps will receive a commemorative Hwadam Forest magnet. It will also set up photo zones at major attractions and place staff to help families take photos together.

It will also hold a prize event for customers who share photos or reviews of their visit on their personal social media. LG Uplus plans to expand its customer appreciation programmes that provide differentiated benefits to long-term customers.

Jang Jun-young (장준영), head of LG Uplus' marketing group, said long-term customers are the company’s most valuable partners who have helped drive its growth. He said the company would expand customer appreciation programmes that make customers’ time and experiences more valuable beyond providing benefits, and deepen its relationships with customers.
