Hana Bank won Global Finance magazine's 2026 Best Sub-Custodian Bank in Korea award.
Hana Bank said on Oct. 12 it was named the country's best sub-custodian at the Global Finance Transaction Banking Awards 2026 held in Miami on Sept. 29.
Sub-custody is a service that carries out securities settlement and safekeeping in the domestic market, along with related asset management work, on behalf of foreign investors or global custody banks.
Hana Bank provides related services to foreign investors, broker-dealers, asset managers and global custody banks. In this assessment, settlement and safekeeping infrastructure, risk management and customer response capabilities were reflected as evaluation factors, the bank explained.
Hana Bank is also working to advance its custody services in line with the government's policies to internationalise the won and expand foreign investors' access to the domestic financial market.
A Hana Bank official said, "We will continue to upgrade our custody services so foreign investors can invest in won-denominated assets more conveniently."
