XL8, which operates the real-time AI interpretation and translation solution EventCAT, said on Tuesday it recently provided simultaneous interpretation and translation services at the SNU KIC SV K-BioX ABDD (AI Biohealthcare Drug Discovery) Summit 2026 held at Stanford University in Silicon Valley.

XL8's EventCAT is an AI simultaneous interpretation and translation solution tailored to business meetings, lectures and conferences. The company said its in-house AI engine, trained on expert-selected data accumulated for more than 20 years, predicts and analyses expressions suited to age and gender to deliver consistent translation tone and manner.

It has been used by more than 1,000 global companies and institutions so far and provides services in languages in more than 50 countries.

At the SNU KIC SV K-BioX ABDD Summit, jointly hosted by the Korean life sciences researcher network K-BioX with the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in San Francisco, Seoul National University and KIC Silicon Valley, XL8 handled AI simultaneous interpretation and translation for the second straight year following last year.

XL8 CEO Young-hoon Jung said cases of EventCAT being used are increasing across a range of industries, including global events such as the K-BioX Summit, as well as companies and government agencies. He said the company will strengthen its global competitiveness while contributing to corporate and academic development based on its technology for real-time, high-quality interpretation and translation in more than 50 languages.
