Publicvoid files 3 generative AI patent applications to improve saju reading accuracy

Publicvoid, which runs the AI saju service Yongyong Saju, said on Tuesday it has filed three patent applications for generative AI technology that improves the accuracy of saju readings.

The company said the patent applications cover verifying errors in AI-generated interpretations, generating long personalised reports and implementing images of people.

More users have recently been asking saju questions using general-purpose generative AI. But generative AI may produce content that differs from actual saju calculation results because of its characteristics. Publicvoid said it developed technology that compares actual saju calculation values with AI-generated results to verify errors, generates long readings in a structured way by splitting them into chapters, and visualises the characteristics of people appearing in interpretations as images.

The three patent applications apply across Yongyong Saju's main user experience, from saju calculation to AI interpretation generation, long report composition and image provision. Publicvoid plans to offer a saju reading experience differentiated from general-purpose generative AI, based on a verification process grounded in saju calculation values and personalised content generation technology.

Publicvoid CEO Jeong-gyun Lee (이정균) said, "More important than using generative AI itself is how accurately you verify what AI produces and how you deliver it to users with content of sufficient depth." He added, "Based on the data and technology accumulated while operating Yongyong Saju, we will continue to improve the accuracy and completeness of personalised saju content."

Publicvoid recently published a book, "Unmyeongeul Ilggo Nareul Sseuda," based on data on the real concerns of Yongyong Saju users.
