Neon Giant, a Krafton unit, will release the Nintendo Switch 2 version of action shooter RPG The Ascent on Dec. 3.

Neon Giant said on the 6th it has started preorders for the Nintendo Switch 2 version of The Ascent Ultimate Edition, which bundles the main game and major downloadable content (DLC).

The Ultimate Edition includes The Ascent and story expansion content including Cyber Heist, Cybersec Pack and Cyber Warrior Pack. It will be released as a digital-only title and can be preordered on the Nintendo eShop.

During the preorder period, it will be sold for 27,900 won, down 10 percent from the list price of 31,000 won. The discount applies until before the official release.

Neon Giant also released a new trailer alongside the start of preorders. The video shows combat and co-op play using weapons, equipment and cyberware in the cyberpunk world of Veles.

Ahead of the official release, it will apply a legacy patch for existing platforms on Nov. 19. It includes improved localisation quality, HDR support, improvements to the teleport and encounter system in co-op play, and fixes for major issues that occur during saving and progression. It plans to reflect the changes in the Nintendo Switch 2 version as well.

The Ascent is an action shooter RPG set in the cyberpunk world of Veles ruled by megacorporations. It supports single-player and up to four-player co-op play, and players can shape combat styles through combinations of weapons and cyberware.

The game was released in 2021 and has since recorded more than 12 million cumulative users worldwide.
