Wemade Play has maintained ISO27001, an international information security standard, for a seventh consecutive year.

Wemade Play said on Thursday it completed an ISO27001 audit, an international information security certification of the International Organization for Standardization. The company first obtained the certification in 2020 and has kept it through follow-up and renewal reviews through this year.

The audit also verified a zero-trust-based security policy introduced late last year and an operating system for related solutions. Wemade Play has expanded its security policies and solutions by applying a zero-trust model, based on the principle of “verification without exception,” to fit its environment.

The company said the certification confirms it meets ISO27001 standards across security policies, personal and shared equipment, and overall solution operations.

Wemade Play also completed South Korea’s Information Security Management System (ISMS) certification in April. It explained that it checked its security management system in service operations by passing successive reviews based on domestic and international information security standards.

Wemade Play Chief Technology Officer Seong-hoon Kim (김성훈) said, “This certification is the achievement of our members who have applied the new security policy to their respective work and company life.” He said, “We will continue security services at a global standard level in line with expanding not only domestically but also into overseas markets.”

Wemade Play also plans to pursue an expansion of security policies for its service platform in the second half of the year to strengthen personal information protection.
