Dassault Systemes said on Wednesday it signed a technology cooperation agreement with SYSTRA in digital engineering at InnoTrans 2026, an international rail and transport technology exhibition held in Germany.
The cooperation will be driven around next-generation virtual twins. The two companies plan to combine their respective expertise to seek new digital services to apply in rail and infrastructure and support improved industry performance.
Dassault Systemes said the cooperation is focused on helping the rail industry move away from analysis methods that are still often fragmented and shift to an integrated environment that can bring together data, models and expertise from multiple stakeholders.
As transport projects face many challenges and growing complexity, Dassault Systemes stressed that virtual twins will open new possibilities for design, simulation, testing, optimisation and management across the entire infrastructure lifecycle.
Corinne Bulota (코린 불로타), vice president for infrastructure, energy, materials and industry at Dassault Systemes, said, "The future of infrastructure will be created at the point where industrial expertise and the virtual world meet." She said Dassault Systemes, through 3D UNIV+RSES, is pioneering a new level of world representation that combines modelling, simulation, real data and scientific AI. "This is AI that truly understands the world, not AI that simply guesses it," she said.
