Tada achieved its best-ever performance in Lunar New Year holiday airport transfer reservations. Mobility platform Tada said on Thursday that completed reservations for trips to Incheon International Airport during the holiday period rose 46 percent from a year earlier. The share of reservations among all airport transfers also increased 17 percent. It said its 100 percent booking-confirmation system helped remove travel uncertainty, driving the record.

Rides from midnight to 8 a.m. accounted for 60 percent of the total. Departures from 4 a.m. to 6 a.m. were the largest share at 41.6 percent. As demand concentrated in hours when public transport is difficult to use, preference for advance reservations stood out. Trips from Seoul to Incheon Airport removed concerns about dispatch through the 100 percent booking-confirmation system.

Repeat customers accounted for 51 percent, more than half, and use of child-seat-equipped vehicles by families traveling with infants rose sharply. A service allowing two child seats to be installed at the same time is currently being tested and is scheduled to be commercialised in March. Use of Seoul's Mom and Dad Taxi increased 18 percent compared with the same weekday a week earlier.

Trips to Incheon Airport Terminal 2 accounted for more than 70 percent of the total. Demand for Terminal 2, which has been cited for inconvenience due to long-distance travel and complex routes, was absorbed by the reservation service. Departures from Gyeonggi and Incheon accounted for 20 percent of the total, and it is supporting airport transfer convenience in those areas through a regulatory sandbox pilot exemption.

A Tada official said, "Airport users cite finding parking spaces and valet chaos as difficulties," adding, "We focused on providing a 100 percent booking-confirmation experience by strengthening dispatch stability and vehicle operations." Tada plans to continue upgrading services tailored to early-morning and late-night travel and demand from family customers during the Samiljeol holiday as well.
