Software engineer Vincent Van Code, who is active in the XRP community, said XRP’s price could exceed $100 within the next 3 years.
On Sept. 28, blockchain outlet The Crypto Basic reported that he did not agree with the view that future targets must already be priced into XRP at current levels.
Van Code rebutted a claim on X, formerly Twitter, that if XRP could reach $100, large-scale buying would already have pushed it to around $20. He cited bitcoin and ether as examples, saying there have been precedents where cryptocurrency prices jumped later as investor confidence grew.
Bitcoin once traded at $0.05 and rose above $126,000 in October 2025. Ether also traded at around $0.4209 at one time and later climbed to $4,900. Based on this trend, Van Code said XRP could also rise above $100 if broader adoption and real-world use increase, market accessibility improves and institutional interest continues to expand.
He added that he did not expect XRP to go straight to $100. Van Code said XRP could move in waves of advances and pullbacks, and the overall trend could form an upward “saw-tooth pattern.” He also argued that a future target price does not necessarily need to be reflected in current prices.
There is also a clear hurdle the market must overcome on the supply-and-demand side. XRP’s circulating supply is about 63 billion tokens. If it reaches $100 per token, its market value would be about $6.3 trillion. The report also said demand for XRP would need to be far stronger than it is now, supported by greater institutional investment, increased use of the XRP Ledger and deeper market liquidity. It added that even if those conditions are met, $100 is not guaranteed.
This is not the first time a high-end forecast for XRP has surfaced. Earlier this month, Dom Kwok, co-founder of EasyA, said XRP reaching $1,000 was closer than ever. But XRP analyst ChartNerd and X user Tarkan Aslaner criticised the target, saying there was not enough basis to support it. Critics view a valuation in the trillions of dollars as unrealistic.
Ultimately, the core of the debate is not XRP’s long-term price itself but whether actual demand can form to support it. Optimism continues within the XRP community, but whether adoption, liquidity and institutional inflows actually expand remains the key point for a high target price to become reality.
"I've been hearing a lot of people say "if there was a chance XRP would go to $100 everyone would buy it up to $20 already". Surely you all know about Bitcoin or ETH. Once full confidence kicks in, XRP will rise in a saw tooth manner for the next 3 years, up to $100 or more"
