Alexander Wang (알렉산더 왕), Meta's chief AI officer and head of the Meta Superintelligence Lab, recently explained on social media platform X (Twitter) why he created the personal AI agent Muse, stressing that point.

He said people want something when they are blankly staring before sleep or on the way home in a car. They want to spend more time with family and overcome social anxiety. They want to eat healthy food, open a bakery or build an app. They want even a brief moment of peace from a busy daily life. But they rarely speak these dreams out loud. It is even rarer for those dreams to come true.

Wang sees it as hard to achieve something if you cannot say what you want.

"The world is a maze full of paperwork, people who block you, tight schedules and all kinds of obstacles. Most dreams disappear as small hurdles pile up before they are even spoken. People give up on dreams because they do not know where to start, because they never end up making the calls they need to make. Each unfulfilled dream is a quiet loss of a person's potential," he said.

Alexander Wang envisions a future in which everyone has a second brain.

"This brain acts as a general manager. Its only mission is to figure out what the user wants and make it happen. Even if you trail off saying, 'I feel like I could do more,' it fills in the blanks," he said. He added, "The second brain makes plans and sends emails. It makes calls and secures the money needed. It also keeps track of schedules. People only need to want and dream."

Wang said the most interesting part is that he has no idea what people will end up wanting.

"Until now, the world has been changed by a small number of people who somehow made their dreams come true. No one has ever seen a world in which everyone achieves what they want on their own. Now all 8 billion people can start making dreams come true simply by writing them down," he said. "I made Muse to help build a world people want. A toast to what we want, to what we dream, to everyone," he wrote to close the post.
