Bitcoin spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) posted net inflows for seven straight sessions, turning 2026 cumulative flows positive again.
On Sept. 26 (local time), blockchain media outlet Decrypt reported that bitcoin spot ETFs pulled in $134.5 million on Sept. 25, extending the inflow streak that began on Sept. 17 to seven sessions.
Total inflows during the streak amount to about $2.98 billion. Investor outflows were pronounced until mid-September, but fund flows reversed rapidly in just a few days. In particular, $450.4 million and $295.9 million flowed out on Sept. 15 and 16, respectively, after a final vote on the Clarity bill in the U.S. Senate failed. The Sept. 15 outflow was the largest daily total since June.
The trend then shifted sharply. Net inflows since Sept. 17 were about four times the amount that flowed out over the prior two days.
The biggest turning point was Sept. 21. Bitcoin spot ETFs drew in close to $1 billion that day, the largest daily inflow since October 2025. That move pushed bitcoin's price above the ETF average purchase price of $81,722 estimated by Bloomberg analyst James Seyffart. As a result, typical fund investors moved back into profit territory for the first time since January.
The trend also recovered on an annual basis. Farside Investors data showed cumulative net inflows for 2026 stood at $886.8 million through Sept. 24. That is an improvement of about $6.6 billion from -$5.69 billion recorded on July 13. Including the Sept. 25 inflow, cumulative net inflows for the year could exceed $1 billion.
Figures vary somewhat by data provider. Bloomberg put net inflows since the start of the year at about $320 million earlier this week.
On a cumulative basis, net inflows since launch reached $58 billion. Total net assets stand at about $108.42 billion.
A gap remains compared with last year's pace. By Farside Investors data, bitcoin spot ETFs drew in $21.35 billion last year. To reach that level this year, average daily net inflows of about $300 million would be needed through December. With the latest seven-session pace above that level, market attention is focused on whether inflows will continue.
