HNIX unveils IX-MATE AI development standard framework, steps up AX product development

[DigitalToday reporter Chi-gyu Hwang] IT services company HNIX said on Wednesday it has launched IX-MATE, an AI development standard framework, and will jointly develop AX (AI Transformation) products with external specialist partners.

HNIX will apply IX-MATE as an in-house standard and provide it externally in a combined form of supply and consulting.

According to the company, IX-MATE supports automation of standard development processes, automated creation and accumulation of outputs by phase, and phase-by-phase validation.

It defines the roles of AI agents and developers, outputs and review timing, and allows Agile and Waterfall approaches to be used in parallel depending on the nature of a project.

The company explained that it also reflects governance principles that trace final accountability for AI-involved outputs down to the person in charge.

Jeong Deuk-young (정득영), head of the HNIX AI Lab Center, said, "Using generative AI and building systems with AI and delivering them to customers are completely different issues." He added, "IX-MATE is the company's answer to making the latter repeatable, and the center's first output aimed at becoming an AX hub for Busan, Ulsan and South Gyeongsang."

HNIX is currently conducting field training and internships with Ulsan University and Ulsan College to broaden hands-on experience for AI talent in Busan, Ulsan and South Gyeongsang. Through this, it plans to secure AI practitioners and, linked with university research capabilities, identify AX demand at regional industrial sites.
