[Digital Today reporter Chi-gyu Hwang] Salesforce has expanded data and AI integration across AWS and Google Cloud.

SiliconANGLE reported on Sept. 15 that Salesforce unveiled expanded integration plans at its annual Dreamforce 2026 conference, linking CRM data, AI agents and workflows to AWS and Google Cloud environments.

The core of the AWS collaboration is bringing AI agents into users' working environments. As a result, Amazon Q, an enterprise AI assistant and AI agent platform, can natively use Salesforce business context and task functions through the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

Based on this, Amazon Q can access Salesforce real-time CRM data and carry out autonomous tasks on behalf of sales and customer support teams.

Integration between AWS and Salesforce's enterprise messenger Slack will also be strengthened. Salesforce will integrate AWS' autonomous agent suite, Frontier Agents, into Slack. It will first link with the AWS DevOps Agent.

This will enable enterprise users to handle infrastructure issues in Slack.

Salesforce also expanded Agentforce model options through its collaboration with AWS.

Salesforce connected a model library based on Amazon Bedrock so Agentforce users can use models from Anthropic, OpenAI and Nvidia.

The Data Cloud 360 zero-copy integration coverage was also expanded to Apache Iceberg tables managed by AWS Glue, a serverless data integration service, and to Amazon Aurora.

Rahul Pathak (라훌 파탁), AWS vice president of data and AI go-to-market, said, "This integration provides customers with migration-free access to data, reasonable model choices, and AI agents where people work."

The collaboration with Google Cloud focuses on building an integrated AI stack.

Salesforce is migrating services to Google Cloud using Hyperforce. It is already being used by actual customers, and migration work will accelerate before the fourth quarter.

Hyperforce is an execution framework that supports running Salesforce software-as-a-service (SaaS) on multiple public clouds such as AWS and Google Cloud. Salesforce originally operated services only in its own data centres, but now uses Hyperforce to make its software available on public clouds as well. Meir Amiel (메이르 아미엘), Salesforce president and chief trust and infrastructure officer, said, "Only the infrastructure changes, but the trust we have built remains the same," and added, "Hyperforce also follows the same security standards as Salesforce."

The collaboration also significantly strengthened integration between Google's "Gemini Enterprise" and the Salesforce platform.

Customers can use CRM data and functions directly in Gemini Enterprise without separate integration. Tableau analytics functions are also linked with Gemini, allowing Gemini to provide more accurate answers based on actual Salesforce data.

Gemini will also be embedded in Agentforce. This will allow Agentforce customers to build agents using Google Gemini as well.

Salesforce also integrated its e-commerce platform Commerce Cloud with the Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP), enabling consumers to find products and complete payments on Google Search or Gemini. The Universal Commerce Protocol is an open standard released by Google in collaboration with multiple distribution and payment companies, allowing AI agents to check inventory, calculate prices and execute payments without separate integration work for each shopping mall.

Kevin Ichhpurani (케빈 이흐푸라니), president of global partner ecosystem at Google Cloud, said, "Bringing Salesforce into Gemini Enterprise allows customers to build trusted agents that infer business context and act safely."
