AI and data-based HR tech platform JobKorea, operated by Worksphere, is holding an online event, the first Office Worker Drawing Contest, using generative AI technology.

The event is held with character creator Yeolsimhi Saraya Doeneun Haembeogeo (열심히 살아야 되는 햄버거), known as Yeolsalham (열살햄), who is popular on Instagram. Participants choose 1 of 4 provided Yeolsalham character types and use AI tools to freely create an image depicting office workers. Entry is completed after submitting the finished work and updating a JobKorea resume.

Winning entries will be selected based on 3 criteria: whether they evoke bittersweet laughter, whether office workers can relate to them, and whether the title matches the drawing. JobKorea will select 236 winners and award prizes including Naver Pay points, with a first prize of 700,000 won.

Eun-hye Jung (정은혜), head of the Insights Strategy Team at Worksphere, said, "We prepared an unusual event where anyone who works has experienced a scene from an ordinary day and can express it from their own perspective." She added, "Thanks to generative AI, anyone can share their story without 부담 about drawing skills, so I hope it becomes a time to relate to each other's day and also look at new career opportunities together."
