Bespin Global, an AI services and solutions company, said on Tuesday it has signed a strategic partnership with large language model (LLM) company Upstage to advance education AI services by combining Korean-made LLMs and agentic AI technology, and to expand them to education offices nationwide and education-related public institutions.

The companies will apply their technologies to the Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education's AI teaching and learning service, “Our Child (AI)”. “Our Child (AI),” built by Bespin Global based on the HelpNow Agentic AI Platform, will be upgraded from an AI that answers questions to an AI learning partner that understands students' learning processes and links them to next steps in learning.

Upstage's Korean-made LLM will understand and reason about students' questions and learning context. Bespin Global's HelpNow Agentic AI Platform will connect it with educational content, data and AI agents to implement it as an actual learning service.

Bespin Global plans to expand various AI agents, including subject-based learning, career and higher education pathways, reading and foreign languages, to build an education AI ecosystem that supports the entire student learning process.

Yang-ho Heo (허양호), head of Bespin Global Korea, said Ulsan's “Our Child (AI)” shows that public education AI can go beyond administrative efficiency to change students' learning experience itself. He said the companies will use the upgrade as a starting point to build a public education AI platform model that education offices nationwide can use, based on the HelpNow Agentic AI Platform.

Jae-kyung Byun (변재경), head of Upstage's cloud business division, said the competitiveness of Korean-made LLMs must ultimately be proven as real value in people's daily lives, and public education is the field where its utility can be delivered most broadly. He said the companies will combine Bespin Global's agentic AI platform capabilities with Upstage's Korean-made LLM so that any student in South Korea can enjoy an AI learning experience tailored to their learning level and needs.
