Flare CEO says major XRPFi expansion over next six months to attract 5 billion XRP
Flare will push a major expansion of XRPFi, its XRP-based decentralised finance ecosystem, over the next six months, aiming to make XRP usable as a DeFi asset rather than only for payments. CEO Hugo Philion said Flare will become a fully programmable layer for the XRP Ledger and roll out upgrades starting in about two weeks. Danal joins science ministry project to expand deposit token payment infrastructure
Danal will build online and offline payment infrastructure based on deposit tokens in connection with the Bank of Korea’s central bank digital currency pilot, Project Hangang. The company aims to use existing payment networks to reduce merchants’ system-building burden while improving settlement cycles and payment fees. Danal was selected to join a 2026 blockchain innovation project led by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Internet & Security Agency.
