Seven Korean game groups welcome Google\'s app market policy overhaul, urge early rollout
Seven South Korean game-related organisations welcomed Google’s plan to cut app market fees and allow external payments, and urged the company to implement the changes in Korea as soon as possible. The groups said lower in-app fees could improve developers’ profitability and be reinvested in new content and service quality. They also said expanded payment and distribution options could curb platform dominance, but criticised fee differences for new and existing members.

Cash App adds payment link feature, allowing transfers in DMs
Block’s payments platform Cash App has introduced a “payment links” feature that enables money transfers through direct messages, TechCrunch reported on Feb. 11. Users can create a hyperlink using a “share link” option and attach it to texts, emails or DMs to request payment. Clicking the link automatically enters the requested amount. Cash App said the feature can also be used for recurring and group payments.
