Mirae Asset Securities launches foreign investor omnibus account service with Singapore brokerage
Mirae Asset Securities will launch a foreign investor omnibus account service in partnership with Singapore-based brokerage UOB Kay Hian, it said on Sunday. The service allows overseas investors to trade South Korean shares through their local brokerage systems without opening separate accounts in South Korea. Mirae Asset said the deal was led by its Singapore unit and expects it to improve market access for investors in Singapore and Southeast Asia. It plans to expand cooperation with other overseas financial institutions.

South Korea to expand omnibus accounts for foreigners to ETFs and ETNs
South Korea\'s Financial Services Commission will expand products eligible for foreign omnibus accounts from stocks to include exchange-traded funds and exchange-traded notes, Chairman Lee Bok-hyun (이억원) said. The move aims to improve overseas retail investors\' access to the Korean market and encourage foreign inflows. The FSC also plans to ease network separation rules for security purposes from June and will hold a \"Korea Premium Week\" event in September.
