Nongshim, Samyang, Ottogi to cut instant noodle prices; cooking oil prices also to fall
Instant noodle and cooking oil makers will cut prices on some products, the industry said. President Lee Jae-myung said he had been briefed that producers will lower shipment prices from next month by up to the double digits. Nongshim, Ottogi, Samyang Foods and Paldo plan to cut prices for noodles, while CJ CheilJedang, Daesang and others will reduce prices for cooking oils. Some snack makers are also considering price cuts.

Daesang cuts consumer prices for three Chungjungone cooking oils
Daesang said on March 12 it will cut prices for three Chungjungone cooking oil products sold to consumers. The items are olive oil, canola oil and sunflower oil. The company said the price cuts will range from 3 to 5.2 percent. A company official said the decision was made to join the government’s price-stability drive and that Daesang will keep working to ease household burdens and strengthen consumer benefits.

CJ Olive Young to open first Olive Better store as it pushes into K-wellness
CJ Olive Young will open the first offline store of its new platform, Olive Better, on the first floor of Gwanghwamun D-Tower in Seoul. Olive Better will be run as an independent brand, targeting people aged 25 to 45 and men, while launching as an in-app service within the Olive Young app. The company said it aims to grow the K-wellness industry into the next K-beauty through the platform.
