KT, Nokia verify AI-based beam pattern optimisation technology
KT said on Sunday it has successfully verified an AI-based beam pattern optimisation technology with Nokia. The technology uses AI to analyse network data in real time and actively reconstruct beam patterns that determine signal direction, width and strength. KT said the system uses a reinforcement learning-based algorithm to efficiently search vast combinations and adjust strategies to changing conditions. The companies conducted the verification in February and plan field tests on a commercial network in the second half.
