FSS to check succession systems ahead of year-end financial CEO appointments
South Korea\'s Financial Supervisory Service will closely review how financial holding companies appoint heads of their subsidiaries ahead of year-end CEO appointments. FSS Governor Lee Chan-jin said several financial group subsidiary CEOs, including bank heads, are due to be selected by the end of this year and that parts of existing succession systems need improvement. The FSS will focus on candidate management and verification and the extent of subsidiary boards’ involvement, and push firms to strengthen procedures and record-keeping.
