SK Hynix warning adds pressure on Apple to raise prices as memory shortage may last until 2030

SK Hynix, a key memory supplier to Apple, warned that shortages of RAM and flash memory could continue until at least 2030. The warning raises the possibility that Apple’s component procurement costs could rise and affect product prices. Even if Apple is among companies receiving priority supply under long-term contracts, those deals still allow price adjustments tied to market conditions. Supply constraints may also extend to printed circuit boards.
