Nvidia steps up push into South Korea\'s AI ecosystem with CUDA-style lock-in strategy
Nvidia has released 7 million synthetic Korean-language personas for free and then added the multimodal model Nemotron3 Nano Omni, signalling the rollout of a four-step lock-in package linking models, data, frameworks and hardware in South Korea. The Nemotron-Personas-Korea dataset is available on Hugging Face under a CC BY 4.0 licence. Nvidia is also expanding the Nemotron3 lineup and open-sourcing post-training tools in its Nemo framework, while tying performance to its Blackwell hardware features.

TTA publishes analysis of ICT standardisation framework, highlighting trends in major countries
The Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) said on Tuesday it published a report analysing standardisation policy trends in major countries. The report was planned to help readers grasp policy directions as global competition over standards in key digital technologies such as AI, 6G and quantum becomes closely tied to industrial competitiveness, supply chains, regulatory responses and early market capture. It said major economies are positioning standards as a core tool of industrial strategy and technology security.

KATS to invest 45.9 billion won to lead advanced industry standards
The Korea Agency for Technology and Standards will invest 45.9 billion won this year to secure leadership in international standards for advanced industries, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy agency said on Tuesday. It will announce 82 new projects under its 2026 programme, with 8.6 billion won focused on 15 fields including AI, semiconductors and robotics. Support will also expand to de facto standards formed by markets.
