Canceling ChatGPT subscription does not delete account or change data settings
A paid ChatGPT subscription can be canceled with a few clicks, but canceling alone does not fully stop use of ChatGPT. Ending payments, deleting an account and limiting how data is used are separate procedures. Users who only want to cut costs can cancel the subscription. Those who want to stop using the service may need to delete the account. Users keeping an account but blocking new chats from model training must review privacy and data settings.
