dYdX rebrands as Arcus, targets top DEX on Robinhood chain
dYdX Labs has partnered with Robinhood to rebrand its protocol as Arcus and launch a new decentralised exchange on Robinhood Chain. Arcus will operate on Robinhood Chain, a Layer 2 blockchain based on Arbitrum. The dYdX Foundation said it developed Arcus with dYdX Labs and Robinhood, and that the existing dYdX blockchain is not affected. Arcus aims to become the leading DEX on Robinhood Chain.

Pyth Network launches 24-hour price indices for U.S. stocks and commodities
Decentralised oracle network Pyth Network has launched Pyth Indices, providing 24-hour price information for U.S. stocks, gold, silver, WTI crude and Brent crude. The service aggregates data from liquid onchain and offchain exchanges to continuously provide prices for assets traditionally traded only during market hours. Pyth Network said it is the first large-scale case of 24-hour continuous price calculation for stocks and commodities.

U.S. banks call for stablecoin rules to cover secondary market trading
U.S. banking groups have urged regulators to clearly extend anti-money laundering rules for stablecoins beyond issuance to secondary market trading. The crypto industry has pushed back, warning that imposing responsibility for transactions issuers cannot control could shrink the DeFi ecosystem. The debate centres on who should monitor transfers after issuance, including movements between exchanges, DeFi protocols and private wallets, and how far regulatory responsibility should reach.
