Arkus, a decentralised exchange backed by Robinhood Crypto, has launched tokenised stocks and perpetual futures on Robinhood Chain. Cointelegraph reported on July 21 that Arkus has expanded the on-chain trading of traditional assets beyond its existing spot market.
Arkus is a service created by the development team behind the decentralised trading platform dYdX. After Robinhood Chain began operating on July 1, it opened a spot market first. With the expansion, users can now trade more than 95 stock tokens, perpetual markets and cryptocurrencies through self-custody trading accounts. The main collateral and settlement asset is USDG, a stablecoin issued by Paxos.
The newly added stock tokens include shares of major U.S. companies such as Nvidia, Tesla, Apple, Microsoft, Meta, Google and Amazon. The perpetual markets track not only individual stocks but also exchange-traded funds, commodities, indices and cryptocurrencies.
Users can control their assets directly without depositing them in a centralised exchange. Arkus has integrated wallet infrastructure provider Privy to allow sign-ups via email or social login. It also supports connections to existing self-custody wallets such as MetaMask, Ledger and WalletConnect.
Stock tokens are not available in some restricted regions including the United States, Canada and Britain.
