Leaked data check service expanded to include email lookups
South Korea’s Personal Information Protection Commission said it has expanded and revamped its “Leaked My Data Check” service and began operating it from Jan. 29, citing a sharp rise in credential stuffing attacks that exploit leaked account information on the dark web. The service lets users enter their usual ID and password combination to see whether the credentials are being illegally traded. The update also enables searches by email address.
