Android flaw found that can drop calls with a single text message
A security vulnerability has been found that can disable calling on Android smartphones by sending a specially crafted SMS message. The attack works in a zero-click way, meaning it can occur without opening the message or tapping a link, and could affect emergency calls. The issue arises while processing WAP Push messages and can force the system process com.android.phone to close. Google received a report on May 5 and reflected a fix in its October security update.
