XRP Ledger takes 26 percent of tokenised commodities market, ranks second after Ethereum
XRP Ledger (XRPL) is expanding its presence in the global tokenised commodities market, with its share rising to 26 percent, second only to Ethereum. Tokenised commodities on XRPL total $2.043 billion, out of an overall market of about $7.7 billion. Growth has been driven largely by JusToken’s energy product JMWH, which accounts for more than 86 percent of XRPL’s tokenised commodity value, raising concerns about reliance on a single asset.

Capital markets shift to digital as speakers discuss integration with green finance
A seminar in Seoul discussed strategies to integrate digital capital markets with green digital finance as the spread of digital assets accelerates changes across capital-market issuance, distribution, payments and custody. The event, co-hosted by the Korea Fintech Industry Association and Yonsei University’s Graduate School of Environmental Finance, examined domestic policy tasks and directions for Asian cooperation. Speakers addressed token securities, stablecoins, carbon-credit digitisation and blockchain-based infrastructure.

IBK Investment Securities signs deal with NAMU EnR on Europe carbon market response
IBK Investment Securities said on Monday it signed a memorandum of understanding with NAMU EnR to bolster cooperation on responding to the European Union’s carbon border adjustment mechanism (CBAM) and on carbon markets. The EU-CBAM imposes costs based on estimated emissions for imports of products such as steel, aluminium, cement and fertiliser. The companies will share carbon market information, develop strategies and jointly host related forums and seminars.
