Naver Z union holds one-day full walkout as 70 percent of members join
The union at Naver Z, operator of metaverse platform Zepeto, began a one-day full walkout on Sept. 23 in protest at a wage freeze. The Naver branch of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions’ chemical and food workers union said about 120 members took part, around 70 percent of its membership. It is the second collective action after a four-hour partial strike on Sept. 9.

A labour union at Naver Z, the operator of metaverse platform Zepeto, will begin a four-hour partial strike on Sept. 9 after wage talks broke down. The union is seeking a 5.3 percent annual salary increase for 2026, disclosure of related information and a labour-management discussion attended by CEO Kim Chang-wook. It said there was no proposal to resume talks and warned it could escalate to a one-day strike on Sept. 23.
