Amazon expands Alexa+ to the web, competing with ChatGPT and Gemini
Amazon is expanding its AI-powered digital assistant Alexa+ to the web, TechCrunch reported. The company unveiled the Alexa+ website, Alexa.com, as CES 2026 opened. Alexa+ offers an interface for direct conversations with AI, similar to ChatGPT and Google Gemini. The Alexa app has been updated with a chatbot-style interface, enabling complex web searches, content creation and trip planning. TechCrunch said Amazon is also strengthening family-oriented features and expanding links to third-party services.
