Amazon is expanding its AI-powered digital assistant Alexa+ to the web. TechCrunch reported on Sunday that Amazon unveiled the Alexa+ website, Alexa.com, as CES 2026 opened.

Alexa+ offers an interface that lets users talk directly with AI, like ChatGPT and Google Gemini.

Alexa+ is expanding beyond smart speakers and displays to mobile and the web, reflecting Amazon's strategy to strengthen its position in the AI assistant market, TechCrunch reported.

The Alexa app has also been updated with a chatbot-style interface. Users can use the web to carry out complex information searches, create content and manage travel itineraries. Amazon has particularly strengthened family-focused functions, boosting home use such as schedule management, adding shopping lists and recipe recommendations, TechCrunch reported.

Amazon is expanding Alexa+'s links with external services such as Expedia, Angi, Square and Yelp, strengthening personalised features. Based on this, Alexa+ supports various roles including family schedule management, smart home control and shopping assistance.
