Woori Financial supplies 34.7 trillion won in productive, inclusive finance over a year, expands SME and regional share
Woori Financial Group supplied 34.7 trillion won in productive and inclusive finance over a year under its Future Shared Growth Project launched in September last year. It expanded funding to small and medium-sized firms and regional businesses, while increasing support for vulnerable groups through measures such as long-overdue debt write-offs. The group said it reviewed performance and next year’s plans at a financial council meeting chaired by Chairman Lim Jong-ryong.

Woori Financial to provide 450 billion won PF support for Pohang AI data centre
Woori Financial Group will provide financial support for a Pohang artificial intelligence data centre project with a total cost of 600 billion won. It signed a project financing agreement for the Pohang AI Factory data centre to be built in Gwangmyeong General Industrial Complex in Pohang. The project will build a 40 MW power-capacity facility with 32 MW of IT load and aims for completion by end-2027. Funding includes 150 billion won in equity and 450 billion won in PF loans.

Woori, KB and Shinhan asset trusts sign MOU for Anyang urban complex development project
A consortium comprising Woori Asset Trust, KB Real Estate Trust and Shinhan Asset Trust has signed a memorandum of understanding to push forward an urban complex development project west of Myeonghak Station in Anyang, it said on Saturday. The project aims to redevelop aging residential areas and underused land into a mixed-use space combining housing and commercial functions. The consortium will review the project structure, prepare funding measures and support stakeholder consultations.
