Kim Young-soo says youth are new growth engine for Korean games
Culture, Sports and Tourism Vice Minister Kim Young-soo visited the Pangyo Game Academy and the Global Game Hub Center on Jan. 21 to discuss new directions for game policy with young developers. He inspected facilities and encouraged a resident company. Participants asked for an environment where young entrepreneurs can keep trying after failure, more practical office space and stronger investment support. Game users said transparency has improved but remedies for harm also matter.

Neowiz releases \'Sannabi Spin-off: A Haunted Day\' for Nintendo Switch
Neowiz said on Thursday it has globally released the Nintendo Switch version of 2D action platformer \'Sannabi Spin-off: A Haunted Day\', which it publishes and Wonder Potion develops. The game is a prequel that follows protagonist Major Song as he returns to the past and uncovers a secret hidden in a robot scrapyard. Neowiz will sell the original \'Sannabi\' at a 35 percent discount on Nintendo eShop until Jan. 28 and is taking pre-orders for a physical package through Feb. 25.

Smilegate to unveil Sannabi special booth at Beaverlocks 2025
Smilegate Future Lab Foundation disclosed that it will feature a special booth for the action platformer Sannabi at Beaverlocks 2025, operated by developer Wonder Potion. The booth includes a demo of a new side story and Sannabi merchandise. Wonder Potion CEO Yoo Seung-hyun will give a talk on development insights. Visitors will receive guide and quest books, with additional materials for children and first-time attendees. An online exhibition opened on December 1 with 281 works.
